Do you know that the deepest wisdom of the ages is available to you? When God rules in our heart, we possess the wisdom of Heaven. Possessing God’s wisdom requires that we be close to Him. We can’t be close to Him when we embrace the sin which crucified Him. Sin is the enemy of wisdom; but one who treasures God—he possesses Heavenly wisdom! The Bible says: “My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you, making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding; yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.
For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding; he stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk in integrity, guarding the paths of justice and watching over the way of his saints. Then you will understand righteousness and justice and equity, every good path; for wisdom will come into your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul; discretion will watch over you, understanding will guard you.” (Proverbs 2:1-11)
How remarkable that the Creator of the universe offers us His wisdom! He is Holy. If we desire to possess wisdom which guards us, guides us, and gives us all our soul desires, we must seek God like we seek a great treasure. Are you experiencing God’s wisdom? If not, daily yield your heart to Him. When you do, the wisdom which He has “stored up” will pour forth from your life and you will know “every good path.” Wisdom belongs to God; and when our heart belongs to Him—we are wise.
